The Power Clean is a weightlifting exercise in the Olympic Weightlifting discipline. It is the first half of the pervasive Clean and Jerk technique.

It involves raising an olympic barbell off the floor up to a point where it rests upon the shoulders. Like all Olympic lifts, it is a highly dynamic movement and requires great strength and coordination.
