Task managers are systems used for the collection and disposition of tasks. The most interesting ones are digital in nature, but there is no arguing that something like a Daily Post It could be rightly described as a “task manager”.
Task managers may or may not be distinct from calendars and Project Management Apps. In an ideal world they would all be aware of one another and play off each-other’s strengths.
Task managers are where your Tasks Records would be kept, if they aren’t Project Notes.
Ideally a task manager would have robust support for Contextual Reminders, including support for time, date, and location. In the case of the iOS Reminders App, you can also have reminders pop up when messaging someone.
